I’m Lesley, first of her name (in my family).
I hail from sunny Liverpool UK, and like Lisa Stansfield & East 17, I’ve been around the world; living in exotic locations such as Sydney, Bangkok, Den Haag, and er…Leeds.
I now live in London, freelancing as a Director, Camerawoman, Producer, and Screenwriter with two decades working in TV broadcasting and programme-making.
My formative TV years were with ITV Yorkshire covering News, Light Entertainment, Sport, Music, Chat Shows, the national quiz Countdown, and the soap Emmerdale.
But then I ran away to spend 2 years solo globetrotting South America and Australasia before moving to London to work for the BBC News Studios in all tech gallery roles, including multi-camera live directing foreign-language news, filming across Europe and the Middle East.
Now it’s the writer’s life for me, keeping my hand in with old telly skills while I flex my screenwriting ones. I’m currently developing my own slate of drama, comedy, and documentary projects for your delectation, and recently dipped my toe into the terrifying world of stand-up comedy.
Shall we work together? It COULD be magic.
